These hand made purses are crafted in Kenya from strips of banana fiber that have been aged to reach a particular brown color. Women in the village weave these purses in their homes between tending the children and the farm and then sell the baskets at market. The purses are then purchased and brought to Nairobi so the leather handles can be attached. Not only are the purses earth friendly, their also purchased under a fair trade deal. You can't lose with these beautiful, sturdy totes! Available in both striped and plain colors. Colors may vary slightly.
